The Anthem

6 more days. Well maybe 5 days ish.

I’m not suppose to be blogging but today is just one of those days I’m just swamped and fed up with doing work and decided to blog as a break. Especially when it feels so impossible. Maybe you might have those kind of days too.

Two songs that have been on repeat really tells of my frustrations yet reminding me that I need to turn to God. Especially with Ocean (Where my feet may fail), which stirs my soul every time and I can’t help but break down. Interestingly, a half done painting sits on my table depicting this song, which makes it even more significant. It is through the darkest and tiring days like this that I have no more strength but only to depend on God’s and to awake in my senses and spirit to worship. But it is a fight constantly, especially when doubts starts to set in.

I do need to smile in this storm with Christ in the vessel. Really. And as my friend quotes, “God give us vision for the future! Give us purpose for the pain, so we can walk through smiling & rejoicing!”

Ocean (Where Feet May Fail)- Hillsong United
You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand

I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise my soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You’ve never failed and You won’t start now

So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

I will call upon Your Name
Keep my eyes above the waves
My soul will rest in Your embrace
I am Yours and You are mine
